The Association shall be known as The Caribbean College of Surgeons (hereinafter referred to as the “College”). The Objectives of the College shall be:
1. The elevation of standards of surgery through the maintenance of standards of competency and of ethical conduct for practitioners of surgery within the Caribbean. The College will grant membership to practitioners who meet those standards and will make it known to the public and the profession that those surgeons elected to the Fellowship of the College have had appropriate training and experience and are therefore qualified to practice surgery as specialists in their fields.
